AIDS

As some of you might know AIDS is the sixth leading cause of death in the world.But hat exactly is AIDS . It is known as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, and is a disease  that destroys the immune system in our body.See allot of people do not take this seriously and it is fatal , and it was my next assignment in acting for TV and film class. WE had two groups and we had to do a PSA in front of our school.We had a week to create a PS to present and we worked  hard and creatively.When the day of presentation came we were ready we had our all black top and bottoms and a red ribbon on our arm . MY  group didn't have to do much we just presented facts . And that might sound too simple and boring but its not only what your presenting its also how you present it.After the whole PSA was finished we all had a feel of relief and we dint care about if our presentation was the best but we cared about if anyone listened and learned from our message.This experience was a little easier than the PSA we previously did but the nerves were still crackling but it was more fun and interesting. 


I have taken the time to write a poem about AIDS and i hope you like it.

Why did this happen?
And what have i become?
Because of what I've done I now live in disgrace 
Now every day at school people stare at me with disgusts
I can see the hate in there eyes
I can see it in  there face
because I have AIDS
It was now i see my life
Starting to sink
But i cant shake the feeling
I can't help but to think
how this could have been avoided
If i had just used protection
I could still be health
And still would have showed affection
But thats not how it is
I am living with this infection
I look in the mirror 
But i cant see my own reflection
I see a sick and dieing person
NO! it cant be me
How could this happen?
I was so happy
And young
But because of this virus
This disease
No its because of my carelessness 
I will live my life with regret 
But i will put all that aside
Live my life and get back my pride
I will no longer have nothing to hide
life is about making the right selections
But if your are going to have sex
Remember to always use protection

Abolishing Child Abuse

Child abuse...Doesn’t this word bring a disturbance to your soul? not just the word but the meaning .Yes this is one of the most disturbing and outrageous act, its similar to domestic violence and bullying .But it is done to a child a small innocent child and do you know who does this ?the parent or any adult. Let me share with you a poem about child abuse just to make you aware of the affects.

'Billy'

My name is  Billy
I'm only three,
My eyes are swollen
I cannot see,

I must be stupid
I must be bad,
What else could have
Made my daddy so mad?

I wish I were better
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy
Would still want to hug me.

I can't speak at all
I can't do a wrong
Or else I'm locked up
All the day long.

When I awake
I'm all alone
The house is dark
My folks aren't home.

When my mommy does come
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll get just
One whipping tonight.

Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
My daddy is back
From Charlie's Bar.

I hear him curse,
My name he calls,
I press myself
Against the wall.

I try and hide
From his evil eyes,
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry.

He finds me weeping,
He shouts ugly words,
He says its my fault
That he suffers at work.

He slaps me and hits me
And yells at me more,
I finally get free
And I run for the door.

He's already locked it
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me
Against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues
With more bad words spoken.

"I'm sorry!", I scream,
But its much too late.
His face has been twisted
Into unimaginable hate.

The hurt and the pain
Again and again.
Oh please God, have mercy!
Oh please let it end!

And he finally stops
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor.

Now this poem i hope summarized child abuse, it is a sad and emotional experience and unfortunately this act still occurs in every country across the world .This was my next assignment in my TV and film class to do a PSA (public service announcement) in a group on a topic we were passionate about so we picked child abuse .We picked this for two reasons one there was not enough awareness on this topic and two we had to let people know. For our performance we decided to do a human video with no speaking just actions and music .We decided to do this because its unique and we believe actions speak louder than words, it was a powerful act that summarized child abuse and how it is dealt. We also gave facts, told a story and did a slide show presentation. And this post is a PSA, here is a question do you know of someone that has been abused as a child or a child that is being abuse just remember don't be afraid speak up. And i have a challenge for you the reader go out and spread the news about child abuse .So stop the abuse...stop the abuse ....stop the abuse...Stop the abuser!!!

I know what you might be thinking what is this? well this was my project in TV and film.It was an assignment to  do a commercial on a specific product or place . and that up there was my lines for my commercial., It may not look like much and well..it isn't the only way you can forget theses lines is if you get nervous in front of the camera.Did i get nervous..yes! i was terrified , well it wasn't mostly the camera that made me nervous it was the fact that my entire TV and film class was staring at me and its very nerve crackling.Just imagine a room full of 26 people thats 52 eyes looking at you and the room is quiet and your on stage with the blinding lights in your face and you heart just beating as fast as a European sports car . And at that time its like every thing went into slow motion and then it happens you hear the word that will sting your ears .....action!!. Usually if you don't know action in stage term means begin the act , so as soon as i herd that word i just froze up and then the camera man had to cut and the next time i froze again and again , until i finally found the courage to say my lines and so i did.And as soon as i finished i was so relived and then my teacher said lets do another take at that time my body started to itch uncontrollably.But there was a reason for her wanting to do another take , she said that since i'm doing a commercial about sunglasses i should have more swag, ha more swag she said i am Orville the swag monster ,the swag king, the swag him self but when theirs 52 eyes looking at you including the cameras lenses i turn into the nervous wreck..But i did the other take and it went well i got a perfect score on my memories of my lines, so i would say it went better than i expected.But to summarize on that experience i would say it was not only nerve shackling it was a fun and a good experience , and i would do it again and maybe with more confidence the next time because this was my first time and i was nervous so the only thing good about that is ts hat i can only get better.So i'm looking forward to the next assignment and hope to do well on it even better than this one hopefully.

Defying Gravity

As you might know by now i go to Fletcher's Meadows secondary school in Brampton and my acting for TV and film class goes on allot of field trips .But this trip that we went on was like no other field trip I've ever been on this trip was to down town Toronto at the Eaton center .The Eaton center is a mall but you might be thinking what does a mall have to do with TV and Film well ...nothing were not on the trip to just go t6to the mall we are actually there to see the play Wicked . But i will touch upon the details of the show later on but for now lets just talk about the Eaton center .So the Eaton center is this huge mall filled with all different kinds of stores like; Victoria secret, Footlocker, Gap, Starbucks, KFC and much more .To some people a big mall with allot of people in it is kind of over whelming but unfortunately I’m one of those people, I get loss easily but it was a good thing we had to be in groups so no ones by them selves. we got to choose our groups so i chose my friends for obvious reasons .So we had fun looking around in stores and walking around then we stop to eat , it was just good safe fun .But at the time 12:45 we had to meat the class at the entrance at the mall so we could do attendance and get our seating tickets and then entered the theater .My first impression of the theater was wow this place is big it looked small from the out side but it was huge on the inside but very nice and well designed. So as we take our seats the play started and this was a live acting play not prerecorded live and it was called Wicked and it  basically the Wizard of OZ but like the true story, i know exciting. It was about a young witch named Elphaba  and how her life was growing up and how she became the wicked witch as you might know her in the Wizard of OZ .She was a special person or different if you will well because her skin was as green as grass , she was attending a school with her sister that is paralyzed and in a wheel chair and every one was judgmental of Elphaba and her sister . No one liked Elphaba not even her own father the only use she had to him was to protect her sister and be her transporter.Elphaba was placed with a very annoying room mate named Glinda  AKA the good witch they dint get along very well , and there was allot of tension between the two .Glinda was the popular one and Elphaba was the outcast so there is a huge gap between the two , but later on in the story the teacher saw something special in Elphaba and enrolled her in sorcery class and Elphaba recommended that Glinda would be also included in the class , so from that day they both decided to become friends they can teach each other new stuff  . And then came the handsome Fiyero the man that is always on the search for fun , and Galinda had her eyes set for him .Then later on in the story a crisis was at fold the animals could no longer talk and they were being caged .Fiyero and Elphaba was out raged by this act and they soon found them selves falling in love ,But then one day Glinda and Elpaba had a call from the almighty wizerd of Oz himself to help .The two girls rushed to assist the wizard in  his time of need but Elpaba was the only one worthy as she had the ability to read spells.But she then found out that the wizard of Oz was going to use her to run the town by fear and soon realizing that Elphaba fled to an hideout .And she was consider an evil soul and was hunted to be killed .She made appearances to see people she loved and help them with her new found powers but the more good she does the more she was sent after by the wizard .Her most helpful thing she had done for some one was casting g a spell on her sister so she is able to walk for the first time .Then the wizard got mad and stop looking for her and had a plan to draw her out , he summoned a storm that shatterd time and brought a girl in a house crashing down unto Elphab's sister and then gave the girl inside Elphabas sisters magic shoes .By hearing what has happened to her sister Elphaba got enraged and vowed never to do good again and was to become wicked.Fast forwarding to the end were we all know what happened , the guard threw water on the wicked witch and she mealted and everyone was rejoiced that she was dead but that was not the end.the scare crow that we all know but actually is Fiyero came back to the seen where the Elphaba died and shouted’ It worked' and poof Elphaba emerged from the ground, she cast a spell on herself to appear to vanish to trick the people that she was no more This was like the heart striking hit of the play cause in  the movie she was dead but this showed what actually happened. If i were to rate this movie out of ten i would give it a fourteen it when beyond my expectations the singing was mind blowing , the actors were outstanding , the effects were magnificent it was just so properly put together and it was worth every dime and i would recommended you to go and see it .Now i will share with you my favorite par of the entire play and it was the singing section called defying gravity , this section was just so powerful and just so beautiful that i felt like crying i was literally fighting back the tears. What this song means to me is to never let anything or anybody hold you down and defy the odds and rise above the rest .

My passion is cooking its one of those things that I really enjoy doing and it helps clear my mind sometimes .I just love food like if you want  my love you have to approach me from my stomach to get to my heart and that’s the truth . I can make anything  at all but it might not taste as its suppose to taste  maybe I should have said I will attempted to make any food  ether ways  I have no limits when it comes to cooking . Not only do I attempt to cook a lot of different things I make recipes up on my own, but my specialty is chicken, cookies, and steak .The way I cook is not normal usually you measure your ingredients I just put in what smells good has nice flavor and I put in the amount depending on how u want it to taste in the food so sometimes its not good but it can be beneficial at times. So this is my passion and it can be so beneficial in the future like if your wife or husband is sick you   can cook dinner for him/her or the kids if you have any, so loads of benefits. Oh and if u have any recipes you crated or you think is really good send it to me. 

Branding

Prolific Productions 

 So my TV and film class was branding if you don't know what that means its the process of turning the call into an production company .We had two groups competing with each-other Enigma and  my group Prolific.This was a fun experience but mostly stressful, the reason for it being stressful is that you need to create a web site, business cards, videos ,prepare a presentation and prepare food.So the day of the branding the group Enigma went first and it was well done good presentation and entertainment , i was a little scared i did know they were gonna be this good .Then after that my group went Prolific and let me tell you it was kind of a disaster but not completely we had people running home for USB to play videos and people going downstairs to warm up food but we pulled it off .So like  two days later we had  the results of the winning team  and .............................Prolific won it was a shock but we won by like 1 points and it was just so mind blowing and also a relief .So my class is officially branded as Prolific productions , and this is experience was just a taste of how things can go bad and how when faced with the worst we are forced to bring out our best  and i would do it again just for the thrill of it.

I got a chance to go to so you think you can dance Canada

 So my tv and flim class got a chance to go with the grade 12 to so u think u can dance and it was interesting fun but interesting.For those of you who may not know were it is it well somewher in downtown Toronto not sure where exactly but it there.So back to the story as i said it was fun well because the grade 12 drama class that was there had to do an assingment they had to act out a certaing chracter assinged to them.One of the guys had to act like a famous rapper and let me tell you it was well done he had body gaurds and assistants likeit was profecinal .But i also thought it was funny because all the people who were there were buying it and it was just halarious.But moving on so after we got in after waiting in that long line like holy like a train like ...........*sigh* anyways when we finally got to the stage i was shocked because it was pretty small way smaller compared to how it looks on tv.But it looks big on tv because of all the diffrent angles of the cameras mabe but what was even more shocking was that we the audience had to reherse like we had to know when to clap and when to cheer i thought you just go there and wileout but noooo.Oh and during every comercial we have like a little thing were people go up on stage and dance with was very cool.But after the show was over we took some pics and stuff and guess what ...yea back into that long  line againg ........*sigh* but when we got out and into the bus we just started to sing take more pics and have a great time .
